artist statement

i've been painting and drawing from the minute i physically could.
coming out as trans at 15 and continuing to grow into my identity to this day heavily influences my artistic practice. most of my work directly addresses queer issues (and i consider the rest to be inherently queer because it came from my handiwork.) other topics may include trauma, gender roles/expression, nostalgia, and a lot of cowboys.

i work primarily in paint, fiber/textile, photography, and collage, as well as digital graphic design. i have created, published, and exhibited short films, photographs, paintings, posters, zines, comics, poetry, and more.
